The 2022 NYC Pride Parade

The 53rd NYC Pride March begins at noon on Sunday, June 26th, continuing the annual civil rights demonstration after its inception in 1970 following the Stonewall uprising. Grand Marshals for this year’s March include influencer and activist Ts Madison, comedian Punkie Johnson, author-activist Schuyler Bailar, award-winning artist Dominique Morgan, and transgender rights attorney Chase Strangio. The march also airs Sunday, June 26th on ABC-7 from noon until 3:00 p.m.

The Pride March 2022 Route

The March starts at noon on Sunday, June 26th at the intersection of 25th Street and 5th Avenue near Madison Square Park, and heads south on 5th before turning west onto 8th Street. After passing the Stonewall Monument on Christopher Street, the route continues north on 7th Avenue, passing the New York City AIDS Memorial before it concludes in Chelsea at 16th Street and 7th Avenue.

June 15 at 5:00 PM: Family Movie Night

The Disney film Moana will be screened at this family-friendly event at The Battery. The movie is free, but tickets are available for prime viewing in the VIP section to make the evening more special; VIP tickets include a commemorative blanket and four NYC Pride folding chairs to take home with you.

June 21 at 6:00 PM: Garden Party

The event that began in 1983 returns for the first time in three years and features performances by Paula Cole, Sophie B. Hawkins, Haus of Tisci, and others. Enjoy delectable food and seasonal cocktails during two hours of live entertainment while the sun sets over the Hudson. The Garden Party will be held at Pier 84 and tickets start at $99 for general admission.

June 24 at 9:00 PM: 2022 Love Above All Ball

The iconic Rainbow Room at Rockefeller Center is the venue for this year’s Love Above All Ball, a benefit for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Live entertainment includes performances by Oliver Sim, Alex Newell, and other noteworthy artists; enjoy chef-prepared cuisine and elevated cocktails while you support this worthy cause. New York City nightlife personality Honey Davenport will emcee what promises to be a memorable evening at the Love Above All Ball, a perfect kickoff to Pride Weekend in NYC.

June 26 at 11:00 AM: PrideFest

The 28th annual PrideFest is a celebratory LGBTQIA+ street fair that includes exhibitors, entertainers, food, and fun on 4th Avenue between East 8th and East 13th Streets. This free event in Greenwich Village is open to the public and makes a perfect preamble to Pride March 2022.

June 27 at 8:00 PM: Broadway Sings

The Broadway Sings concert series joins NYC Pride in this memorable evening dubbed as “the concert event of the year,” honoring LGBTQA+ ally and pop icon Taylor Swift. Favorite Broadway stars sing fresh arrangements of pop hits accompanied by a full orchestra in this can’t-miss performance. The show is produced and directed by Corey Mach (Wicked, Kinky Boots) at Sony Hall. Tickets start at $40.
